varicose vein treatments
Do you deal with the confidence-crushing look created by spider veins and varicose veins? Often spider veins and varicose veins appear on the face and legs. If you want to restore your confidence in the way you look, you should consider spider vein treatment. You’ll be happy you did once you see that the spider veins have faded away. Having your veins treated gives you a way to take back the look that you might have thought was impossible.

Simple Procedures Offer Results

Spider vein treatment is easy, and there are multiple options depending on the severity of your veins. For spider veins that require only light treatment, sclerotherapy and laser therapy can be used. Sclerotherapy uses injections to damage and collapse the veins and to reroute blood to healthier veins. Laser therapy uses finely tuned lasers to damage the veins from above the skin, collapse them, and send blood through healthier routes. Both treatments will cause the veins to disappear over time as the blood slowly recedes from the veins.

The Next Step in Vein Treatment

If the veins are more severe, your doctor may insert a laser through a catheter into the unhealthy veins deeper within the leg. For this treatment, a superfine laser fiber is used to seal the vein from the inside. Just like with sclerotherapy and the above-skin laser therapy, sub-dermal treatments will collapse the vein, causing its blood supply to reroute through another path. Without blood, the veins will no longer be visible beneath the skin. This treatment is often used for larger veins that wouldn’t be easily treated through regular sclerotherapy.

Varicose Vein Removal

For large, ropey varicose veins, your doctor might suggest ambulatory phlebectomy. During this procedure, the veins are removed through micro incisions that do not require stitches. This procedure is performed in the office setting using local anesthesia, so there is no need for a hospital stay or long recovery time.
