Nurse Practitioner
Job description
Medical clinic specializing in Phlebology has an open position for a Nurse Practitioner.
We are a complete and established vein clinic. The procedures performed include endovenous ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, cosmetic sclerotherapy, and wound care (secondary to chronic venous insufficiency).

Candidate requirements:
Completion of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from a Nurse Practitioner program; Board-Certified; Licensed to practice in Illinois;
Excellent verbal and communication skills;

About Us
A leading Vein practice in Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Authorization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and ensuring timely approvals for medical procedures, treatments, and medications. Additionally, this role will include transcribing medical records as needed to support accurate documentation and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before services are rendered.
- Obtain prior authorizations for medical procedures, treatments, and prescriptions as required by insurance companies.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to ensure timely approvals and resolve authorization issues.
- Document and track authorization requests, approvals, and denials in the system.
- Work closely with healthcare providers and staff to ensure all necessary documentation is submitted.
- Follow up on pending authorizations and appeal denied requests as needed.
- Transcribe medical records as needed to support accurate patient documentation.
- Stay updated on insurance policies, requirements, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience in medical insurance verification, prior authorizations, or billing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in medical billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
